35cm - 45cm (14” - 18”)

Quite form-fitting and will be visible above your shirt.

50cm - 55cm (20” - 22”)

Falls at the collarbone and is the most common size for men’s necklaces. Can be worn inside or outside the shirt.

55cm - 61cm (22” - 24”)  

Falls in the middle of the chest and looks great with a medallion, pendant, or dog tag. Can be worn inside or outside the shirt.

61cm - 76cm (24” - 30”) 

Designed to be worn on the outside of your shirt. Looks best with a larger pendant or a thicker chain. Total attention-grabber.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT CHAIN FOR YOUR NECKLACE?

Everyone is unique, both physically and in aesthetic preferences. This guide will hopefully help you decide on the right chain length for you or the gift recipient.

The easiest and best way to determine the right chain length for you is to measure using a soft measuring tape. If you do not have a soft measuring tape, wrap a ribbon around the base of the wearer’s neck, mark the spot where the ends meet, then lay the ribbon against a yardstick or ruler to determine approximate neck size.

After a measurement is obtained, it’s a good idea to opt for a necklace size that is at least the second size up from your neck size. For example, if you have an 18-inch neck, you should probably choose a chain length of 20 inches or more. An 18-inch chain would feel too tight. Also consider the type of necklace when choosing length.

Please remember that this is only a guide, and you may find you need a slightly longer or shorter chain.
